Sign Finishes
Goodwin & Goodwin offers a comprehensive range of specialist finishes for manufactured signage — providing trade clients with a complete, single-source outsourcing solution for sign production.
Our in-house finishing capabilities include wet spraying, powder coating, flame polishing, diamond polishing, and vinyl and printed graphics application. Contact our team to discuss your project.

Wet Spraying
Our in-house wet spray facility at our South West London workshop handles the priming and painting of a broad range of materials. Wet spraying is the preferred method for acrylic signage and for metal applications where specific colours fall outside the powder coating range.
We specify a professional two-pack paint throughout — an extremely hard-wearing formulation that requires no additional lacquer and is suitable across all substrates. All paint is custom mixed to RAL or Pantone references.

Powder Coating
Goodwin & Goodwin prepares and powder-coats manufactured signs to the full Classic K7 RAL colour range. The process delivers a finish visually indistinguishable from wet-spray paint, while offering significantly superior durability.
Applied electrostatically and cured under heat, powder coatings provide exceptional resistance to moisture, chemicals, UV exposure and extreme weather — making them the preferred specification for external metal signage. The process also carries environmental advantages over conventional liquid paint systems.

Flame Polishing
Flame polishing is a skilled, hand-finished process performed in-house on the edges of clear acrylic panels and shapes. A controlled flame heats the cut edge, slightly melting the surface to produce a clear, glass-like finish.
The result removes all evidence of cutting tool marks and imparts a refined, near-transparent quality to the edge — adding a prestigious final detail to any acrylic sign component.

Diamond Polishing
Similar in purpose to flame polishing, diamond polishing removes tool marks from the straight edges of acrylic panels, producing a clean and precise finish. The edges retain a crisper profile compared with flame polishing.
All diamond polishing is completed in-house by our experienced production team. If you are unsure which polishing technique is appropriate for your project, our experts are happy to advise.

Vinyl Graphics
Vinyl graphics remain the most widely specified graphic finish across our production range. The process involves the precision computer-cutting of adhesive-backed coloured film into letters, shapes, logos and patterns, which are then applied to the sign face in single or multiple layers as required by the design.

Printed Graphics
Digitally printed graphics extend the possibilities of vinyl application by printing directly onto adhesive-backed media using our HP Latex printer, enabling full-colour imagery and complex graphic treatments in a single application.
Both vinyl and printed graphics are produced entirely in-house at our West London workshop. Alternatively, a Sign Blank can be supplied for clients who prefer to apply their own graphics.
Fixing Holes & Fixings
For all signage and display products, we offer a comprehensive range of sign fixing options — from welded metal studs and precision locators to CNC-drilled pilot holes for threaded fixings.
Fixings can be fully supplied or pre-configured to accept your own hardware.
