A sign is only as good as its installation. The most precisely manufactured fascia, the most carefully crafted lettering, can be undermined by poor fixing, incorrect alignment or inadequate weatherproofing. Our installation team understands this. They have been trained to work to the same standard as the workshop.
Goodwin & Goodwin carries out the full process in-house — design, manufacture and installation — which means our installers know exactly how each piece was built and how it is intended to sit. There are no miscommunications, no subcontracted teams working from incomplete information and no surprises on site.
IPAF-Certified and Fully Insured
Our installation team holds IPAF certification for working at height and operates its own fleet of access vehicles. We carry full public liability insurance and work in full compliance with health and safety regulations for work on public-facing buildings and streets.
We own and operate a fleet of electric access vehicles, enabling us to work at height across London without the need for hired plant or third-party contractors. This gives us greater control over scheduling, access and the quality of the finished installation.
Exterior Fascia and Shopfront Installations
Most of our installation work involves exterior signage — fascia lettering, illuminated signs, projecting signs and shopfront graphics. We work on everything from small retail units to large commercial properties, handling the full scope of fixing, wiring, weatherproofing and finishing.
Where planning permission or listed building consent is required, we can advise on the process and liaise with local authorities on behalf of our clients.
From Workshop to Wall
Because we manufacture everything we install, the handover from workshop to site is seamless. Our installers receive detailed technical drawings from the design team and are briefed on every fixing point, cable route and structural detail before they leave the workshop. The sign arrives on site ready to go up, not ready to be improvised.
Illuminated Sign Installation
Illuminated signs require electrical connection in addition to structural fixing. Our team manages both. We work with qualified electricians on all wired installations and can handle everything from a single LED-lit fascia letter to a complex neon installation requiring a dedicated supply.
London and Nationwide
We are based in London but install signs across the United Kingdom. Our coverage includes central and Greater London, the Home Counties and major cities throughout England and Wales. For larger projects, we schedule multi-day site visits and work around business hours to minimise disruption.
The Complete Service
Most clients who come to us for installation have also commissioned design and manufacture through our studio. The full service — from initial brief to finished sign on wall — is managed by one team, one account manager and one invoice. There are no gaps in the process and no ambiguity about responsibility.
