About Projecting Signs & Swing Signs
A projecting sign is a type of sign that sticks out (projects) at an angle from a building facade or wall, rather than lying flat against it. Mounted perpendicular to the building face — usually at 90 degrees — projecting signs are double-sided so they can be read from both directions by pedestrians or passing traffic. They are often illuminated with LEDs or backlit to increase visibility at night.
Projecting signs are commonly used on high street shopfronts, pubs, cafes, restaurants and professional offices such as barbers, solicitors and galleries. Their key benefit is increased visibility from a distance — people walking or driving along the street can spot the business without looking directly at the building. They also add character and branding, especially with ornate ironwork, illumination or shaped cut-outs.
Goodwin & Goodwin have designed a range of modern projecting signs with a clean minimalist feel. All designs are completely customisable and hand crafted in our London workshop. We also offer a range of projecting signs and hanging swing signs available to buy online.
